Senior AWS Data Engineer

Position Overview

Seeking a Senior AWS Data Engineer to develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise risk analytics applications in a financial services environment.

The primary focus is building cloud-based data pipelines and analytics solutions using AWS, Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, Python, and SQL .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance AWS-based data pipelines.
• Build ETL/data processing solutions using AWS Glue.
• Develop Python-based data processing and automation solutions.
• Work with Amazon Redshift and optimize data processing performance.
• Develop complex SQL queries for large datasets.
• Support CI/CD and automated deployments.
• Troubleshoot data quality and performance issues.
• Support enterprise analytics applications in production.
• Work independently on complex requirements.
• Apply GenAI and AI-driven automation to data engineering workflows where applicable.

• 5+ years of AWS Data Engineering experience.
• Strong Amazon Redshift experience.
• Strong AWS Glue experience.
• Strong Python development.
• Advanced SQL .
• ETL/Data Pipelines.
• CI/CD and automated deployments.
• Enterprise-scale data and analytics applications.
• Data quality, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Production support experience.
• Exposure to Generative AI / AI-enabled automation .

• Financial services experience.
• Enterprise Risk experience.
• Risk Analytics experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.

The real hiring focus is AWS Data Engineering + Redshift + Glue + Python + Advanced SQL . Risk analytics experience is preferred.
