Bakery Department Associate

From bread and pastries to cakes and cookies, you’ll be part of a team that values quality, creativity, and service.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Prepare, package, and label bakery products following Meijer quality and freshness standards.
• Assist customers with bakery orders, product suggestions, and cake requests.
• Decorate, glaze, and finish baked goods as needed.
• Maintain bakery displays, ensuring products are visually appealing and well-stocked.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and food handling procedures.
• Monitor product dates and rotate stock for freshness.
• Utilize technology to assist with orders and department tasks.
• Provide friendly, efficient service to customers and collaborate with team members.

What You Bring With You:

• Passion for creativity, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn bakery processes and equipment.
• Previous bakery, food service, or retail experience preferred (but not required).
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
