Position: Field Safety Specialist (2 positions) Salary Range: $85-$110K
Location: Laredo, TX area
Project: Border Wall Construction

Our construction client has been awarded a multi-year contract to continue the construction of the U.S. Border Wall in the Carrizo Springs, TX area (South of Laredo, TX / pop: 260,000).

The project consists of Barrier wall construction, 60+miles, boat ramp construction, patrol road repair, patrol road construction, bridge construction, electrical/lighting/ground detection system installation.

Candidates will travel to and live around the Laredo, TX area.
The Field Safety positions are supplemental project positions and are not specifically defined as key personnel in the contract, so the experience requirements can be somewhat less restrictive.

Field Safety Specialist – 2 positions

• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
• Heavy-civil, linear infrastructure, roadway, utility, pipeline, or similar construction experience preferred
• OSHA 30 required
• Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 preferred
• Experience with field inspections, AHAs/pre-task planning, subcontractor oversight, corrective actions, excavation, heavy equipment, lifting, traffic control, and similar field hazards
• Federal construction experience preferred but not required

 

For the Field Safety Specialist, the client is more interested in strong, relevant heavy-civil field experience and the ability to work effectively on a large, geographically dispersed linear construction project.

Your resume must clearly identify project type, role, project value, delivery method, and federal agency where applicable.
