Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic equipment in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with strong soldering skills, experience working with circuit boards, and the ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics.

The successful candidate will contribute to product quality and reliability by performing hands-on electronic assembly, diagnostics, repairs, and testing while adhering to established quality standards.

What You'll Do

• Repair and test electronic equipment to ensure proper functionality
• Perform circuit board repair, soldering, and rework activities
• Assemble electrical and electronic devices using detailed work instructions
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues involving digital and analog circuitry
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Operate diagnostic and test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Follow IPC workmanship and soldering standards
• Complete required documentation, reports, and administrative tasks
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area
• Support team production goals and continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform other assigned duties as needed

What You'll Bring

• 3-5 years of technician experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
• Strong experience with electronics assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair
• Proficiency in soldering and circuit board rework
• Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents
• Knowledge of digital and analog electronic circuitry
• Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, crimping tools, and power supplies
• Familiarity with IPC workmanship and soldering standards
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Electronics or a related field
• IPC or soldering certification
• Additional experience in electronics manufacturing, testing, or repair environments

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Rate: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, VA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
